1. Introduction

Tuz Maz Jamal Matrimony operates an online matrimony platform through its website www.tuzmazjamal.com and mobile application. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, and protect the personal data of users who register and interact with our Services. This policy applies to our website and our mobile app. Some features described below are available only on the website.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Personal details such as name, age, gender, date of birth, email, phone number, and address.
• Profile information such as religion, caste/community, marital status, height, health or disability details (optional), education, occupation, income, horoscope details and family background, including the names and phone numbers of parents and relatives that you enter.
• Photographs and biodata submitted by you. The app asks for camera access only when you choose to take a profile photo, and uses your phone's photo picker to select an existing photo. We do not read your other photos.
• Your partner preferences, interests sent and received, favourites, blocked profiles, profile views and searches.
• Messages you send to our support team or enquiry forms (name, address, mobile number, message).
• Chat messages you send to and receive from other members on our website and app, and your list of conversations.
• Notifications shown to you in the app and on the website about activity on your account, such as new messages, interests received, accepted or declined, profile views, and decisions on your photos or profile.
• A record of which members' contact details you have unlocked with your membership.
• Technical data: a random identifier created for each app installation, your device model, the network (IP) address of your connection, and sign-in session data. If you allow notifications in the app, an identifier for your phone used to deliver them.
• Payment information for membership payments. You enter your card, UPI or bank details on secure payment screen, in the app and on our website. We do not see or store them; we receive only the result (paid or failed), the amount, the date and a payment reference. On our website only: device and log data collected through cookies or similar technologies.

3. Use of Information

Your data is used to:

• Create and display your profile to other members.
• Facilitate matchmaking and compatibility suggestions.
• Show contact details of members only to members with an active paid plan, within the limits of that plan.
• Deliver your chat messages to the member you write to, and show you notifications about activity on your account. Chat messages can be sent only by members with an active paid plan, within the limits of that plan.
• Respond to support requests and enquiries.
• Keep accounts secure and prevent fraud and misuse.
• Process membership payments, in the app and on our website, and keep a record of them.
• Contact you about your account, and, where you have agreed or the law allows, send updates or promotional messages by phone, WhatsApp, email or SMS. With the app, we send notifications to your phone only about activity on your account (new messages, interests, profile views and decisions on your photo or profile), never promotional ones. You can turn them off at any time in your phone settings.
• Comply with applicable Indian laws and regulations.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share limited information:

• With other registered members as part of matchmaking features. Other members see the profile information you choose to provide. Contact details are visible only to eligible members.
• The chat messages you send are visible to the member you send them to. When you view another member's profile, or send, accept or decline an interest, that member can be notified and can see your name and member code.
• Authorised members of our team may read chat messages when this is needed to look into a complaint or misuse of the platform.
• The app shows banners of advertisers. Tapping a banner opens the advertiser's website. We do not give advertisers your personal data, and the app contains no advertising SDK and does not use your advertising ID.
• With our payment processor, Razorpay, for secure payments in the app and on the website. Razorpay receives the name, email address and mobile number you pay with, together with the payment details you enter, and handles them under its own privacy policy.
• With Google, which delivers notifications to your phone when you allow them in the app.
• With law enforcement authorities, if required by law.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Retention

Your information is retained as long as your account remains active or as required by law. You can delete your account in the app (More > Delete account) or on the web page www.tuzmazjamal.com/AccountDeletion. When you delete your account we remove your profile and personal data from our active systems within 30 days, except what we must keep by law. If you delete a chat conversation, it is removed from your view only; the other member may still see their copy until they delete it.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. However, no electronic storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies and Tracking

On our website we use cookies and analytics tools to enhance user experience and improve our services. You may disable cookies through your browser settings. The mobile app does not use cookies or analytics tools.

8. Eligibility

The Services are strictly available to individuals aged 18 years and above.

9. Your Rights

You can review or update your information in the app or on the website, ask us to correct or delete it by calling 9307602155 or on WhatsApp, or delete your account as described in section 5.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Updates will be reflected with a new “Last Updated” date.
